Any idea when the PS4 will be easier to find?

I saw a used(!) one at an EB last week for around $330.  Otherwise, no idea.
Ya they seem to get 2 or 3 in stock at Best Buy and Walmart. But if you aren't waiting by the truck they are gone.

Has anyone tried Franchise Hockey Manager?  I remember quite a few used to be big on Eastside Hockey Manager back in the day.

I bought it when it was in the beta stage and gave it a try. It's definitely a lot more like the final version of EHM that was a paid game as well, not the classic EHM. It was still pretty buggy being in the beta stage so I didn't get much into it and then just never opened it again. Maybe with the season being over I'll give it a try again. I'll have to see if I can re-wind it to last summer though if I'm doing the Leafs.

Just EA Sports it.  Clarkson + crappy prospect for a 1st.

I actually had a hard time trading Clarkson in my Be a GM in NHL14 - all the GMs said they'd love the deal if they could handle his cap hit.  Eventually moved him with retaining some salary.

And I found an HF Boards thread on FHM, sounds like it's still pretty buggy.  I'll wait awhile on it then.

Sure miss EHM.

I just got NHL 15 for Xbox one and I think it's terrible. It looks nice but honestly I can have more fun playing my old NHL 94 on genesis.

Been one day and I'm already thinking of selling it.

I'm not a big video game player but I don't think I will be buying another EA Hockey game in the next few years.  They didn't release a game this past year for the new consoles because they wanted to get it ready for the new generation.  The pile of dung they released this year was incredibly disappointing.

This is the first one I didn't buy in years. Very disappointed in it. Would love to see the 2K series rise from the ashes. They made a game for mobile devices this year.

That's become an issue with EA. With every new generation of system, you generally have to wait until they've released a couple version of a game before they release one that isn't awful.

The lack of competition in the sports gaming industry really shows through.  Even 2Ksports has been declining with the NBA series due to a lack of competition.  It would be great if they were consistent in improving the game.  I feel like every year they just tinker with the same times and a lot of the flaws in the game just get magnified in the other direction.

Goalies too good one year...they are awful the next year....back to far too good the following year.
Hits are excessive and Phil Kessel shoots Chara half-way across the ice one year....Chara is indestructible the next year.

I might buy NHL 2018 or something after a few more years of new games but I don't expect much change in the mean time.

Shopper's Drug Mart Optimum card points got me $210 off the price of a new PS4.  I'm satisfied.

They actually had one on hand to sell?

Most stores usually do.  My one disappointment was that the weekly flyer featured a GTA5 bundle that comes with a download code for The Last of Us, but having gone to 4 Shoppers and called many more, almost all stores had either 1 or 2 of such bundles, and they were all sold out early in the morning.  I got a The Last of Us PS4 instead (same price), and the alternative was Destiny.  GTA isn't entirely my kind of game anyway, but I'll take an extra game for free if it's available.

For any Playstation owners, EA has 3 games available for free download through the Playstation Store until 6pm Sunday:  Mirror's Edge for PS3, Need for Speed for Vita, and Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare for PS4.

Garden Warfare is a lot of fun.

For any PS3 owners that never pulled the trigger on South Park: The Stick of Truth but wanted to, it's now a $5 download from the Playstation Store.

Xbox gold does the same thing where they give away 2 games to dl a month. This month was solid: Tombraider and BioShock Infinite - one of the best games ever made!

One of my favourite games from last year. Absolutely recommend to anybody who even kind of likes South Park.
