So I was out golfing this morn at my local course which I'm a member. Its a small 9 hole course so you get to know all the regulars. I was putting my bag in my car when I was done and went to grab my iPhone out of one of my pockets but it had fallen out somewhere along the way. went into the clubhouse to ask if I could borrow a cart to go look for it, I knew I had it on #2 as I had used it to check the time.
So as I was driving around asking all the regulars if they had picked it up or if they did find it, to bring it back to the clubhouse. They were all very sympathetic to my cause and said if the found it, they would turn it in. A husband and wife were particularly sympathetic, asking all sorts of questions and showing a lot of concern. After searching for almost 3 hrs, I went inside the clubhouse and asked if I could use the computer to locate the phone (not sure as to why I didn't do it earlier).
Well sure enough, the location was 5 kms from the course in a sub division. I hopped in my car drove to the location and recognized a car in a driveway as a regular at the course, as I walked to the house the husband was outside and when he saw me, he ran inside. I knocked on the door but no answer, so I banged on the door and next thing he opens the door and hands me my phone. it took all my might not to punch him in the face, he said he found it but forgot to return it as he had to go get groceries. He and his wife are an older couple from the Philippines and speak broken English. I was shaking by the time i got back to the car and almost went to the cops, instead, I just sat there in my car trying to figure how could they blatantly lie to my face. Unreal.
Anyway, thanks to current technology, all is good now.
