I fully expected to check this boxscore and see that we won. I mean, they have to win eventually yeah? This team just keeps going.

I'm proud of them. They dig down. Tried somewhat and showed their inferiority. The Buffalo and Columbus games loom in the future. These are important losses for the tank and at this point there there really aren't any milestones to look out for.

I fully expect things like this to not only happen, but to get progressively worse as we watch the Shanaplan take effect over the next few seasons. The Leafs werent on hockey night against the Sens on Saturday for the first time since 1972. Things will get ugly in Leafland, and only the true fans will stick around for this rebuild. We know this needs to happen, but the general public will turn away in droves and the bashing will intensify to new levels. Book it.

People will stop paying attention away but the bashing will get worse?

Despite it obviously being the right direction, I genuinely question whether Rogers and Bell will commit to a long-term rebuild. Heck, I question whether the fanbase will stomach it for more than a year or two.

It's usually paid attendance.
