I'm genuinely not sure why playing the puck with your hand after a faceoff is a penalty. Like at all. There are a bunch of other rules I don't like but at least I understand the rational behind them.

Well, credit to them for hanging on.  They shut DET down pretty well after the early goal.

I disagree...I thought they were hanging on for dear life the whole period.

I do think they played well the first 2 though.

Well, I can't disagree that any time this team holds a lead in the 3rd it constitutes "hanging on."  But I think the Wings only had 2 or 3 shots in the 8 or so minutes after Nyquist got his 2nd.

Was at the game 11 rows back. One guy who really stood out for me is Leo Komarov, he's a real battler. Not hard to see why he's a coach favorite.
