I really don't see how anyone could criticize Marner's play today.

Again, this team was coached by Hunter at the Under-18s.  He should have been the coach.

Not too bothered by the loss. Terrible goaltending, rack disciprine, and imo, poor coaching.

Marner named player of the game for Canada. No-brainer, even with that penalty.

You need to be smart as a player, it's a team game, even if you are annoyed and the refs don't see everything, you don't take that risk at this point of the game. Sometimes you gotta suck it up and be strong for the best of your team.

This just absolves the refs of any responsibility.  Look, they chose to penalize Marner meanwhile off the very next whistle there was way worse stuff done.

That's why you play with margins, especially at such an important part of the game, Canada lost this game due to bad discipline and average goaltending imo.

because he was the best player on a losing team .. what he did was very kadri-esque with his fancy toe drags. it wont work at the nhl level.  theyll just shove him over.  maybe if everyone was a bit better at the other end it would have been a more succesful tournament.

That's how the finnish player sold it, but that's not what happened. But I agree that Marner shouldn't have made it even possible to oversell.
