Question. Though the Ham Fighters have a deadline of Tuesday, they could reveal the winning bidder prior to then, correct?

Yes. And the team is the Fighters, and they are or were sponsored by Nippon Ham. They don't actually, you know, fight ham.

Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters... I could of said just "Fighters" I suppose. Or maybe I should have typed the whole thing or maybe I could have just typed "Hokkaido" or maybe Nik, I really do think they fight ham.

Bordom looms...  So apparently, "Y" is pronounced like a "J" in Japanese... Did not know that.

Don't the Ju's have a problem with ham?

Yes... Though my Dad's side of the family is Jewish and I haven't met one on that side who wouldn't take down a nice BLT.  :)

I'll believe it when I see it but;

Nothing confirmed on Darvish, and we may not know till Tuesday. If it's true, it's the beginning of a new era for the #jays #bluejays

Tuesday Japan time...?  That's like 12 hours sooner!

That strikes me as a bit of an overstatement.

You'd think they would have learned to ease back on the hyperbole after previous "new era" Japanese players.

At the same time, signing Yu would indicate that Rogers is willing to spend competitive dollars, which is obviously of considerable significance.
