2012 Toronto Blue Jays Thread

Bautista's having a good May power-wise.  Hit another HR tonight.

He's hitting something around .230 in May but his OPS is around .930 so the home run ball hasn't been hurting him too much this month.

Nice to see Bautista getting his swing back. Another homer and he scored on Arencibia's. Hopefully they keep it going and win the series against the Mets this weekend going into a huge week!

Adam Lind off to Las Vegas, per Shi Davidi. Up comes Yan Gomes.

About time. Lind has been awful while Gomes has put up some very nice numbers in AAA.

So has Snider...

Las Vegas though is notorious for boosting hitters stats. I mean, if Hechevarria's Vegas numbers would translate over in the majors, he'd already be up with the Jays.

With that said, you got to figure that somebody - anybody - can do better than Lind has done.

Hopefully being in AAA has a similar positive impact that it seems to have had on Encarnacion.  His numbers skyrocketed when recalled after he was demoted to AAA last season.

I'm probably going to Sunday afternoon's game with my wife and 2 little kids.  Does anybody have recommendations about what 500 level section to sit in, particularly considering where the sun will and won't be beating down on, on a day with a high of 27?

You'll have shade on the Blue Jays side of the Field, along the third base side.

Thanks!

Was a little disappointed in the game yesterday. Every time I was in the car and turned on the radio, the Jays were either giving up runs or getting out in clutch situations.

I think what disappointed me most was how they bookended the game - in the first and 9th innings, they put the first two runners on, but then the next two batters struck out (Bautista and E5 in the first, E5 and Arencibia in the ninth). Frank Francisco then struck out Thames in the 9th to end it.

As I said, disappointing. :(

Given the Jays penchant for winning a few and losing a few this season, I think Tampa takes at least two out of three.
