That Ron Wilson team had a better CA/60 than we currently do now (56.74 vs. 61.95).

Where do you guys normally pull up these numbers so quickly?

I just want to make sure of my assumptions/conclusions before I post anything half-cocked.

Corsica.hockey is the go-to now.

I like this site. Thank you.

yeah, its great.  And CTB was 100% right. Its the go to.  And for individual in-game, it's hockeystats.ca I believe.  They do the possession chart generation.

And for quick comparison's, there's the HERO and WARRIOR chart, ilk.

For individual in-game stats I actually prefer Naturalstattrick. A little less polished than hockeystats but they provide in-game WOWYs. But both are good and provide different things.

Nice.

Leafs record 2015/16 after 15 games:

3-8-1-3 = 10 points (55 point pace)

Leafs record 2016/17 after 15 games:

6-6-2-1 = 15 points (82 point pace)

Just a little better than last season, no?

Nearly a 30 point difference, that use to get a coach nominated for coach of years!

That could still happen.  If this team improves in this way, and keeps up the pace, then Babcock will most surely be in the running as one of the candidates, not that he'll win, though, but at least named.

Looks like the Leafs Notebook from MLHS is back this year (because there is actual content to write about!).

I'm partial to point number 5.  I think I'd do that too.

5. I think it?s time to take Matt Hunwick away from the coaching staff.

Here's a solution to fit everyone's needs and desires:
Make Hunwick part of the coaching staff instead. Steve Staios' Advisor/Manager of Player Development position has not been filled yet.

Three rookies in the top-5 in rookie scoring; with his four point night, Brown jumps into the top 15. That's just incredible.

Well, yes and no. The Leafs did take three highly skilled forwards with top 10 picks and then brought them all up at once.

True. The more impressive thing, to me, is that the big 3 currently rank among the top 60 scoring forwards in the league - and that the Leafs currently have 6 forwards in the top 60 overall. The team's offence has been excellent so far.

Like BF I'm just impressed that 4 from one team are in the top 15.  Especially since our prospect pool usually gets low marks from the various cognoscenti.

The prospect pool has been getting pretty solid marks for a couple years now.

Incredible was a bad choice of word. Impressed, excited, proud are better words.

What they're doing is very exciting. This is a bad comparison because I think the rookies the Leafs have are better than the players I'm about to mention but it seems like all three of them have what guys like Berezin and Wellwood had where it's genuinely exciting every time they have the puck because you aren't exactly sure what cool thing they might do with it.
