Former Raptors GM Rob Babcock (of the Vince Carter trade) passed away from Pancreatic cancer.

Raptors can?t handle the Bucks in losing 108-100.  Milwaukee leads Eastern Conference Final 1 game to 0.

The Raptors were unable to stem the Milwaukee?s late surge especially when your shooters go 0 for 15.

Even though the Raptors were led by Leonard & Lowry (31 & 30 pts., respectively), something?s gotta change if Toronto hopes to win a game here.  The Raptors need to shore up defensively and be far sharper in taking advantage of the shots particularly in the latter stages of the game. Not anything that can?t be done that they haven?t done before but then again, no one said beating the Bucks was going to be easy.

Better stats required from the bench unit, please:

Anyways, never give up!

Forget it.  These Bucks are for real.  Milwaukee leads Conference Final 2 games to 0.

The Raptors, despite getting 38 points from sharpshooting Kawhi Leonard with some help from Lowry (15 pts.) & Powell (14 pts.), the failed to pressure the Bucks defensively, as they played catch-up largely from the get-go in getting thumped 125-103.

As impressive as Leonard?s efforts were, the Bucks second unit was a huge contributing factor in their victory over Toronto, factoring in a collective 56 points, compared to the Raptors bench will went mostly silent.

Stopping the Greek Freak is one thing, not being thorough enough to stymie the rest of Mikwaukee?s other big shooters is another.

It?s up to the Raptors now to regroup, sharpen up, and take full advantage of home court.

Game 3 goes Sunday here in Toronto.

Whew-hoo!  Milwaukee?s leads Conference Final 2 games to 1.

The main story:  Raptors 118  Bucks 112  2OT

[tweet]1130294300649111552[/tweet]

The Raptors Kawhi  a.k.a. ?The Klaw?  lived up to his namesake stealing balls and making jumpers in the OTs and the reason the Raptors stayed ahead of the Bucks, only to find a Milwaukee on the comeback trail.

This game kept see-sawing back and forth and knew no end, not even in the first OT.  Let?s just say Toronto finally outsmarted & outmanoevered the  Bucks in that second OT.

Leonard had 36 points with 2 stls., & Pascal Siakam had 26 pts., with several steals.  Marc Gasol was a tour de force on the D as he contributed 16 pts., 12 rebds., & 5 blks.
Other Raptor contributors were Powell with 19 pts., & Lowry with 11.

#fearthedeer No more!  Conference Final tied at 2 apiece.

After a dramatic double overtime win in Game 3 here at the Scotiabank Arena Sunday, the Raptors showed no mercy here in Game 4 before a boisterous crowd in demolishing the Bucks 120-102.

The Raptors bench ? Powell, Ibaka, VanVleet ? contributed 48 points ? and Kyle Lowry was formidable on the court as he racked up 25 points and took over from Leonard in guiding the good ship Raptor.

Leonard was instrumental in getting key balls in with his 19 pts., with an ever so slight limp, was still able to be a dominant force along with his 4 steals & 2 blks.
The Raptors bench was incredible, sharp, and tough to pin down, with Normie Powell?s 18 pts., Ibaka?s 17 pts., & VanVleet?s 13.  VanVleet had a perfect 3/3 in the 3pt. FG category as well as the highest accuracy percentage of any Raptor on the in FGs per se.

Marc Gasol was once again a rock contributing in the back court and making life generally miserable for any a Buck who dared try putting points in the paint, had 17 pts., to go with his 7 assists.
The same can be said about the Raptors tenacious D strategy as they forced turnovers, swarmed Antetokounmpo & co., and gave them Milwaukee little room to manoeuvre.

Wow.  What a win!

What a great game 4 from everyone not named Kawhi to help the big man out. Win or lose, seeing the NBA on TNT team in Maple Leaf Square is a real trip! Twenty thousand inside AND outside the building it looked like!

YES!!!!  Raptors win 105-99.  Toronto leads Conference Final 3 games to 2.

Kawhi was the player of the hour!  He garnered 15 points just in the fourth quarter alone and finished the night with 35 pts.  He left the Bucks? twisting in the lurch.  He even left Antetokoumpo literally on the floor at one point with his patented turn-around.  The Greek Freak was no match for Leonard?s fast hands.  He?s been so instrumental in the clutch.

[tweet]1131779734122258433[/tweet]

Fred VanVleet was a man on a mission as he once again excelled beyond the perimeter.  His 21 pts., went with his 7/9 3FG stats.

This is the first time all year that the Bucks have lost three straight, with the Raptors having done the honours in these playoff matchups.

What was most telling was the composure the Raptors had in this game, they never panicked, were smart, advantageous, quick, and made the most of whatever opportunities befit them.  The fourth quarter, particularly in the last few minutes of the game, was quite tense as the Bucks attempted to close the score.  Toronto did not afford a Milwaukee comeback and went on a 10-0 run right to the end.  The eight point lead had served the  Raptors in very good stead.

Other Raptors contributors were Siakam with 14 pts., 13 rebds., & 3 stls., and Kyle Lowry with 17 pts., & 6 assists.  Lowry set a Raptors record:

That last 5 minutes of game time must have taken 45+ minutes of real time...that was crazy!

(makes you think twice about wanting video review for too much stuff in hockey...)

Hey Toronto, it?s party time!    Toronto wins Eastern Conference Final 4 games to 2.

Final score:  Raptors 100  Bucks 94

Oh what a feeling it is!  Oh what a performance by this Toronto Raptors team ?and Kawhi nearly brought the house down with that left-handed dunk on a steal by Lowry.  That just about said it all.

Leonard led with 27 points & 17 rebds., & 2 stls., while Siakam had 18 pts., Lowry with 17 pts., 8 assists & 1 stl., and a VanVleet coming off the bench continued his mastery of the 3-pointers to go with his 14 pts.

Leonard had 19 points in the second half as the Raptors trailed by 15 in each of the first two quarters but by the fourth quarter, the comeback trail began in earnest and it was no more looking back for Toronto.
