2022-23 NHL Thread

This is easily the least worried I've been of Tampa.

Unfortunately the most worried I've ever been of Boston.

Being a Leafs fan sucks.

Boston about to win 4-2 against NYR.

I worry about NYR too...and NJD...and CAR...but I do think they can skate with anyone in the West.

Just won 10 in a row.

All 3 are upper echelon teams for sure, but they have weaknesse just like TB and TOR does. Boston's only weakness on paper is literally just hoping that Ullmark comes down to Earth, which still hasn't happened 5 months into the season.

Ryan Stillman, also benched half the game, breathing a sigh of relief that no one will notice now
Stillman got KO'd by Jeannot

Yeah, was he benched or just recovering?  He's not a tough guy, so taking on Jeannot was probably not the statement play he should have made.

I'll worry about the Bruins in the 2nd round if we both make it that far. I'm conceding nothing. Both Ullmark and Swayman are question marks in the playoffs.
Let's get past TBay first.

Recovering...never played another shift from what I can tell. This was his 3rd or 4th fight this year I believe.

Stillman fought Jeannot last October - didn't lose as badly
In both Stillman was the instigator

Tampa has lost 7 of its last 10 ..., 9 of their last 14.

TBay looks horrible. Losing 4-0 to the Canes after the 2nd. They didn't have a shot yet in the period and only 4 overall. Hedman got hurt, came back for a quick shift and left again..Hurt his back. Now Kucherov got a puck in the face and is on the room.
I see the benching has worked wonders even tho Kuch has 2 of the shots.

There is a god

The wild card race in the East is pretty darn tight. 2 spots up for grabs with 6 teams (NYI, PIT, BUF, OTT, FLA, WSH) within 4 points of each other. The sens currently sit in the middle of that group but are the hottest of any of those teams with 5 straight wins and a 7-2-1 record in their last 10 games.

Is it a good thing when the most popular voice on the network paying you for your media rights says your sport doesn't matter?

The Sens look like they're having fun and gelling as a group, and getting Chychrun was terrific. I have to admit I'm pulling for them.

They've mostly been beating up on bad teams - which, you know, good for them. Will be interesting to see how they hold up when the quality of their competition takes a significant uptick in the next few games.
