Treliving used $6.7m this offseason to bring in two 4th liners.

Two injury prone goalies.477 PTS% at this point...blech....until they get healthy, I'm not going to get too bent out of shape.
Now, if they get healthy for December and still play like this...
Laughton is actually a guy you keep unless you're getting an overpay. Carlo will get whatever the market is this year. Last year's prices were high.If Laughton was worth a 1st last season, is he still worth a 1st? What about Carlo?

And a pending UFA. No sense in holding on to him if they can’t get back on track. He’s 31, has what 6 points in 33 games with the Leafs - trade him if you can get anything for him.
The lame point I was trying to make was what horrific trades these were. I know hindsight and such, but these were unforced errors.Laughton is actually a guy you keep unless you're getting an overpay. Carlo will get whatever the market is this year. Last year's prices were high.
Def horrible prices to pay for what they got.The lame point I was trying to make was what horrific trades these were. I know hindsight and such, but these were unforced errors.
Can only go up from here lol...6pts out of 1st in the division.Sabres just passed the Leafs in the standings
The Leafs are in the basement in the Eastern Conference ...![]()
And only 4 out of the wildcardCan only go up from here lol...6pts out of 1st in the division.
Give me some kind of timeline on this stuff then.Highly frustrating start to the season but I'm willing to see what happens when a few more bodies get healthy. Injuries can and do destroy regular seasons if a third of your active roster is out. If the writing is on the wall early they should definitely strip away any players not in the long term plans and try to reload for next year.
There's been like ~$35m of regulars missing from the lineup over the past week and a half or so.
That's a lot.
100% agree. It really is bizarre that there's a huge disconnect between what they know and what we know. The fans ultimately pay the players' salaries so we really should be given more information than we're getting.Give me some kind of timeline on this stuff then.
Guys are just out and we get to play the guessing game on whether they are back in a few games or gone for weeks.
I'm fine with the argument that we don't completely write the team off until they are healthy and done but is Matthews back this week? Next week? Is he coming back healthy at all?
I get that we aren't going to get details on the exact injury but the organization seems to want to make everything a secret.
Pelley made a big speech about engaging better with the fanbase and this organization doesn't do any of that. Sorry, you can log into the fan app daily to try and win a couple of hockey tickets through a lottery. Job completed.
