Yeah but Babcock doesn't have Bobrovsky. If Tortorella wins the Jack Adams he should just give it to him. Hard to think it's the team in front giving Bob one of the best SV% in the league

You say that like having a goalie having a big year isn't basically true of every Jack Adams winner ever. Check out Ottawa's goaltending stats from 2012-2013.
 
I guess I think even though it's a  usual thing for a Jack Adams to be awarded partially due to hot goaltending that it's a bit disingenuous to truly good coaching. I'm sure you can find analytics that paint a better picture of good coaching than simply points improvement on the back of a hot goaltender.

I don't think there's any way to reliably separate coaching from player performance, analytically or otherwise.

And while, sure a lot of the improvement in Columbus can be attributed to better goaltending the same is true of the Leafs. If the Leafs had gotten the same goaltending this year(.913SV%) as they did last year(.903) you're talking about an extra 26 or so goals against.

Columbus got better goaltending but they also improved considerably in terms of shots against, going from 4th worst in the league to being better than league average. Toronto went the other way, going from 21st to 27th.
 
When is the last time the leafs have had a top-3 goal scorer?  I think Sundin was fourth one year.  The 60s?

One of Auston's greatest strengths is that he starts every game on time. Tops in the League for first period goals, opening goal of game and even strength goals.

Daryl Sittler in 1978.  Gilmour was 4th in 1994 and Sundin was 4th in 2002.

Sundin was actually tied for 2nd in 2001-2002 with three players.
