Blue Jackets @ Leafs - Nov. 25th, 7:00pm - SN, SN 590

Or, maybe he just has a much broader definition of the term "top player." I mean, Bozak is one of the top 500 players in the league, yes?

Will Ranger be sitting again?  Has there been any mention of that?

Siegel and Mirtle say it's likely. Rielly was practicing on the second powerplay unit so it would seem he's definitely in.

I liked Rielly and Fraser as the 3rd pair on Saturday. Had far more continuity than any other 3rd pair with Ranger on it has had all year.

You know I didn't miss Ranger at all. I even thought Fraser had a decent game - at least you know he's a stay at home guy. Ranger has tried to be both and usually with not very good results.

In that sense I think Ranger might be miscast a bit.

He seems like more of a two-way guy rather than the stay-at-home type, and really what the defense needs more than anything is a stay-at-home kind of guy.

We were all hoping for him to emerge as a steady defensive presence when that might not be his cup of tea.

Yeah I didn't really notice Fraser at all but that's obviously a good thing. Rielly on the other hand was of cource noticeable on almost every one of his shifts, which is also a good thing. I do wonder though if some of Rangers struggles have something to do with him playing on the right side. When he eventually gets back into the line-up I'd like to see him play on the left with Rielly.

I actually saw him get beaten with speed on more than one occasion, but you pretty well know that's what you're going to get with him. At least he's able to block a shot and clear the front of the net.

I am with CornFlake and thought that Fraser/Reilly was a really nice 3rd pairing.

busy week..hopefully more outplaying the team and less just praying our goalie stops everything ..but as always just win ..it's going to be hard to get two points out of wednesday so i'm hoping for them tonight

Good. With the simple mistakes the Leafs are making, they deserve to pay for it. Maybe this will wake them up.

Or, you know, not, since the Leafs don't seem to want to play tonight.
