Blue Jackets @ Leafs - Oct. 21st, 7:00pm - SN, Fan 590

I've said before it seems like Kerfoot's taken a lot of penalties this season, but most of them have been pretty iffy calls like that.

Most have been iffy and he's already at 10PIM in 10 games.  His career high is 38 PIM in 78 games.  It's not like he's a guy prone to taking penalties.

Yeah, can't really blame Kerfoot on that one.

There has to be a difference between tripping and falling down over another player.

No, no there doesn't.  (attrib. to Gary Bettman, fl. 600 BCE)

And now, Brian Burke will explain why Matthews is not a 200-foot player.  Then again, no one is except for Gargantua.

I specifically remember 2 that were just crosschecks in front of the net that never get called. Just crummy luck.

OK, I'm not buying that line of analysis.  Because Marner can make a pass like that to KK we "can't take out of his game" an amazingly lazy play like the first goal?

Yeah, that caught my ear too. I've said this before: Friedman's a great reporter but as far as actual hockey analysis goes he's no better than any of the other generic talking heads.

True.

Looks like another kill.  Not sure why Kappy decided to dump it in the bench instead of all the way down.
