Cell Phones

I watch them on the mobile app or on the gamecenter live app, but that's only if it's available legally.

If it's not available legally and I need to watch on one of the less than legal streaming sites while mobile, I use Puffin Browser for IoS which while a little buggy at times, has never stopped me seeing the majority of a game.

Also read that Samsung (and possibly Nokia) were prepared to sue Apple if the IPhone 5 included LTE technology (Nokia and Samsung own the majority of the patents). Well it does, and after Apple's suit against Samsung, it's only a matter of time (possibly weeks) before a major suit is brought against them, with Samsung seeking large dollars and restrictions against sales of the IPhone 5.

I'm not sure that case would get very far. There are dozens of companies that claim they hold "essential patents" for LTE technology, so, Samsung and Nokia would be in an uphill battle to start with, even before taking on Apple. If they were serious, they'd likely be looking at a case that could last for years and cost them each a lot of money, without really inflicting much, if any, pain on Apple. There's too much grey area there.

Maybe when Apple finally allows Flash and I can watch Leaf games on my phone. A man can dream...

That's really on Adobe to create a suitably secure version of Flash, and, since large portions of the internet seem to be gravitating away from using Flash, that's unlikely.

I was just passing on what I'd read in numerous articles this being one of them:

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57510080-37/samsung-will-reportedly-sue-apple-over-lte-use-on-iphone-5/

I guess we'll see what happens...

Apple Iphone 5 comes out on Sept 21.

pre ordering it for the brat Sept 14.

Had 4-6 calls on the phone today. Personally I don't see the fuss and I'm not impressed when any product launch forces 3 weeks of mandatory OT.

just preordered the Brat's....and it cost me an extra 100 bucks cause I don't buy *anything* new from Apple for either of my kids without putting the applecare on it--she who effing loses everything and he who breaks everything.(or more correctly, has everything break on him, getting hit by a car isn't really HIS fault)

Wife surprised me - brought me the S3 to my hospital room.  Great surprise!  Too bad I'm not allowed to have it in hospital...

Ok, so I currently use a BB 9900 on Rogers, which I am not entirely happy with I will say... but I won an HTC One X from Telus the other day. I wonder does anyone else use one, and is it worth getting it unlocked and buying the Rogers micro sim.... cheers and thanks

That's a $500 phone right there, it's a great piece of kit for free. If unlocking it is fairly inexpensive then I'd do it. The only aspects it lack in are no slot for micro SD card, no removable battery and it's dual core instead of quad core so theoretically it wouldn't be as fast as the quad core bunch, but you probably won't even notice to be honest.

It has almost everything any of the other superphones claim to have, I've used an HTC phone at work and played with the one you have, like I said, totally jealous. lol

I've had an I phone in the past and now I've got a Samsung s3 and I'm not sure I understand why anyone would choose an Iphone over this thing.

The fact that you can replace the battery and add a micro sd card should be enough to sway most people.

Just in my own personal experience from having an iPhone 4 for 2 years, I've never once wished I could take out my battery or add an extra 64 gigs.

I agree, but I wish I had the option to replace the battery without dismantling my phone.

Agreed. I can't even think of a situation where "I" would need either of those things.

My 3gs battery was barely lasting a day towards the end and my son's ipod touch won't even charge anymore.

That's pretty much how I see it. I've never had to replace the battery in any mobile product I've owned, and, I figure 64 GB of space on the iPhone 5 I pre-ordered will be more than enough space for me until I'm looking to upgrade to a new phone. As far as advantages for the Galaxy S3, neither of those hold much interest to me.

My son's first iPhone4 had a drain-in-a-day battery in it. We went to the Apple store, guy looked at it and we left less than twenty minutes with a new iPhone 4 and all son's stuff transferred over to it. No hassle replacement. *THAT* is why I stick with Apple, they own the lemons (had a similar issue with an old iBook too) and customer service/product repair or replacement is never an issue.

I just don't like apple. Their products are too expensive and they are so sealed tight that you have to pay someone to look inside...

Anyway - that's just my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I understand the appeal of their products, I'm just not a fan.

If you're having a good day today, it's probably because all the douchebags you know are at the Apple Store.
