Dell and Spezza placed on waivers

A real shame that. In my NHL 21 Be a GM campaign, I traded Andersen away. Campbell & Dell make a serviceable tandem
I find it kind of funny that on some social media platforms people are all bent about losing our 3rd string goalie that couldn't beat out Martin Jones as a starter.

I mean it's early yet but what are the chances of Fred returning next year? 2%?

Probably pretty good but we'll see how the year goes first.

Dell could have tried the same thing but the team claiming him could say ok, go ahead and retire.  Dell would then be out of the NHL for at least a year because once you go on the Voluntarily Retired List, you can't come back for a year unless all teams says it's ok. Teams knew Spezza would just flat out retire and he also carries a lot more respect then a guy like Dell would.

Also, Dell might have welcomed getting claimed because he would have a better chance of getting if it happened.

He's going to play in Jersey. This could have been the plan all along. I knew as soon as the league said they need to carry 3 goalies, he was probably gone unless they kept him on the roster.

I mean I also don't know why SJ keeps running Martin Jones tbh.

I think the only reason people are bent out of shape is the lack of confidence in Andersen.
