I think what we're seeing is that he's not a guy you can run out there for 6+ consecutive games. Carlyle needs to accept that.

So? That doesn't mean he should be put in situations he repeatedly shows he can't handle. Not every starting goalie can go long stretches with a game off. It's up to their coach to recognize that and act accordingly. This was an issue last season, as well.

Because the coaching staff obviously believe that a hot Bernier is more valuable than whatever Reimer can bring to the net. And they're likely right.
