Eastern Conference Final Bruins (4) vs Pens (1)

LittleHockeyFan said:
if the Bruins take it tomorrow night, the Leafs can actually claim they won more games against Boston than both NY and Pittsburgh combined :)

please Brooooins :)

Crazy roll the Bruins are on right now.  Leafs had them right where they wanted them too.

I think the Bruins had the Leafs right where they wanted them.  :-\

I don't take any solace in the fact that we have been the only ones to challenge them so far.  I wanted the Pens to pound them.

Crosby is playing like a very very very overpaid Grabovski, as opposed to Grabovski, who played like a very overpaid Grabovski.

Crosbovski.

Wheeee! I got my Budweiser light today! Hubby and son programmed it for me, hope it goes off a lot tonight :-)  (it'll be reprogrammed for the Leafs in the fall)

Chara hits Malkin before he touches the puck, no call. Jagr plays the puck with a broken stick, no call. And that's just what I've seen while eating dinner in front of the game, man do they ever catch the breaks from the refs.

Pretty sure that McQuaid shot hit Iginla's stick ever so slightly on it's way to the top corner. We'll see if Cherry catches that, it was a bad play to make at the blue line.

LMAO@ Letang??

this drives me nuts though. They let all sorts of way worse than that infraction go earlier. And NOW they call it? (and I'm pro Boston, but still?.)

What a gong show in the last 5 mins for the Penguins.

It was almost like watching the Leafs, except I didn't care about the end result in the end.

Pittsburgh looked pathetic in this series, and I can't imagine that they look anywhere near the same next year. Maybe Malkin is finally on the move?

Iginla looks done to me.

Like I say every year (even the year they won the Cup), I have yet to watch a playoff series where I come away thinking that Crosby is an out-of-this-world player who will one day be talked about among the pantheon of greats.

Put a gun to my head and I do concede he is probably the best player in the league....although due to injuries and the unlikelihood that he has a lengthy career, there are quite a few players I would take over him.

At this point I don't even envision him being among the 2nd tier guys like Yzerman and Sakic.

Anyway, I know I am in the minority but just my humble opinion. And yes, I am quite aware of his playoff PPG average....racking up those points in the 1st and 2nd round doesn't impress me (and it wasn't just this year either).

honestly, I think Crosby's playing injured. No way do you shut him out of the scoring four games in a row if he's healthy.

His team played really poorly and the Bruins played flawless defensive hockey (pretty much anyway).

Sometimes the great ones just get beat, especially when their teammates don't show up.

I agree about him looking rather ordinary in this series though.

I was actually thinking the same thing. He's been through injuries over the years so it wouldn't be a surprise. Either that or the Bruins are THAT good at shutting him down.

Boy Boston sure has improved after letting the Leafs take them to 7 games.  :o
