Game Notes

TOR
?Andersen (36-16-7, 2.77 GAA, .917 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?No real surprises with the Leafs line-up, other than Matthews and Nylander being split up once again to create more of a 3-line attack
?Sparks is expected to dress as the Leafs back-up as Michael Hutchinson is away because his wife is having a baby

BOS
?Rask (27-13-5, 2.48 GAA, .912 Sv%) will likely start for the Bruins
?Boston will likely scratch veteran forward David Backes
?The 3 injured Bruins will likely all start the series on the IR, but might make appearances later on

In the old days we used to try to muster 100 "Go Leafs Go" posts before the 1st game of the playoffs.

That's probably out of reach, but then again a 3-0 TBL lead seemed to have been, too....

So:

GO LEAFS GO

Embrace the underdog role (like Columbus did last night) and steal away home ice advantage in this series with a win tonight boys!!!

It?s funny. Their motive for playing the last month or two of hockey was to essentially win home ice advantage leading up to this series, and now they can do it in one game tonight with a win.

Go Leafs Go!

I'm looking for Nylander to make an impact from the third line. If Matthews is away from the Bergeron line, then him too.

Go Leafs Go!

I like what Ennis has done for the Leafs this season so wouldn't mind seeing him in the lineup for a veteran presence.  Having said that, there really is no obvious spot unless there's an injury and he has minimal playoff experience so I guess we're all good.

Go Leafs Go!

Caller on 590 this morning predicting Boston wins the series because of their young defense.  The young defensemen he cites:  Krejci, Debrusk and McAvoy.

That's the fine analysis we get from sports radio callers.

Did the host at least tell the caller than 2 of those players aren't D and one of those non D isn't young?
