Game 15 - Panthers @ Leafs - Tues 11-08 - 7 PM SportsNet

Kuly can't buy a penalty call either - total hook/grab there

I honestly expected them to call the penalty on him there.  He was held all the way to the red-line and he ended up throwing his man off him to the ice at the end.  He kind of looked like he thought he was going to get a penalty there too.  Florida gets away with a lot of holding when they play their "system".

Well, it's cold comfort but the shots were 18-7 in the second and we are carrying the play here.  At least this isn't the total disaster that the Boston game was.

The Toronto Maple Leafs 2011-2012: Not a Total Disaster

Baby steps.

I was watching some of the Edmonton/Montreal game during intermission and Montreal was just being handed PP's on a platter - then you watch this game and the Leafs are forced to slog through mud in the offensive zone.

Why can't our goaltenders shut the door like that? It's not like Florida is an exceptional defensive team.

Exactly we'll get this thing into Total Disaster territory soon enough.

I know it's water under the bridge and not the biggest deal in the world but every time they talk about the upcoming HHOF game and mention Mark Howe I'm a little off-put.

Yeah, trap teams are getting an awful lot of leniency from a league that pretty much declared war against the trap coming out of the lockout.

At least Kulemin is still driving the net and creating loads of chances, the goals will come for him eventually.

This period seems really disappointing.  There is very little urgency in the Leafs play.  They have had some great chances but there are a lot of plays where the Leafs are waiting for the puck to come to them rather than being aggressive.  Florida isn't going to turn the puck over when they have 4 men back at all times.

It's unfortunate but there's no winning for the Refs there. They call those penalties every night and people complain about how all of the penalty calls ruin the flow of the game. They don't and crummy teams can hook and hold their way to "defensive" success.

The 3 goals that should not have been really sucked the life out of them.

Greg Millen has no business commentating. He's gawd awful. Actually blames scrivens on that goal, not Joey crabb who skated away from his man and left him wide open to put it in the net. Need a feature on the tv to mute him. The Millen mute button, DO IT!

Let's replace Kulemin's hands with blocks of ice over the summer and see if anyone notices...can't blame him for lack of trying though
