Game 2 - Sens @ Leafs - Saturday Oct 8th 2011 - 19:00 EST - 6-5 Win

Ok, I know the Leafs still have a big lead, but the fact that the Leafs are 0-2 on a couple fairly lengthy 5-on-3's this season is pretty embarrassing.

Let me guess. Drummond just said "man glad we haven't given up any short handed goals" :D

Or "oh good, a 5-on-3 for two minutes. The Leafs will DEFINITELY score on this one!"

Things the Leafs are afraid of: the playoffs, empty net goals, 5on3 PP goals

Weird stat is that Vancouver only had 1 5-on-3 goal last season.

EDIT:  Although the refs hate them and it's a conspiracy so that makes sense.

Well, you wouldn't want them to go into the week off feeling all complacent.

A crossbar by Ottawa on a 2 on 1. Are the Leafs trying to let them back into the game? Both goals were a result of defensive breakdowns so far...

I think the boys have already mailed this one in. Gotta stick with it for another 6 mins. Pretty cool that the Leafs are headed to Trenton AFB for a few days during their bye week. I wonder what sort of drills they have planned, does The base have a rink?

Have to figure that has something to do with scoring on so many of their 5-on-4's.

Yes they said on Thurs night they'll be having open practices at the rink there.

Leafs look like they've backed off a bit, not sure why.

Think it's just a natural thing, hard to keep up the same intensity when you're up 5-1.  Look at Detroit last night against Ottawa.

Yeah and I guess there's that whole other team thing. Hard to argue with the results so far too.

So, Ottawa, good at scoring when the games over? ...

and now a 5on3 for the sens, great
