Game 24: sens @ Leafs - Mar. 6th, 7:00PM - TSN, TSN 1050

Anyone know offhand what the actual rule is when it comes to touching the puck to cause the whistle? Is it just contact or do you need to be in full control? Because I'm pretty sure one of the Leafs knocked the puck with his stick in the senators corner but it went to the Ottawa player after.

The rule refers to "gains control of the puck."

"Referee shall raise his arm to signal the delayed calling of a penalty. When the team to be penalized gains control of the puck"

I don't think they count chipping or deflecting the puck, blocking a shot etc as "control".  It needs to be settled down on a player's stick I think.

"And James Reimer is down!"

Easy there Gord, he was covering the puck and had a player laying on him.

I turned my head from the TV right before that happened and heard his call. Was pretty worried until I saw the replay.

Somebody really needs to get a screencap of Turris looking like he was about to cry because his pinky is hurt with the caption: Gord Miller "And there's Ottawa's MVP".

I've never seen a goalie so susceptible to injury as Reimer. It looks like he has sustained an injury every 4th or 5th game.

Someone roars "BOBBY SCORES!!" at the good ol' hockey game

That's a song that will never fade away ever. RIP Stompin Tom, You made millions smile in your time.

Lets win this one for Tom!!!

GLG!

@DownGoesBrown: Sens fans just heard that somebody nicknamed Stompin? passed away tonight and got all excited hoping it was Matt Cooke. #tsn #ripstompintom

lol

Bozak spends a lot of time standing around in his own end.  Not good enough as a centre.

Not to mention Grabo.  The top two lines have got to spend more time in the other end.
