Game 3 - Calgary Flames vs Toronto Maple Leafs W3-2

What I can say about Reimer from the past , if he had weak period , he would be steady for the remainder of the game

I do like Frattin. He reminds me of a young Kulemin I think.

High praise but yeah, kid seems like a keeper.

It is high praise, but he just seems to have that same energy and a similar 2 way game. Obviously he has a long way to go to get to where Kulemin is now, but equally I think Kulemin can get even better too

Yup, agreed.

The Leafs were sloppy but they weren't completely flat. Despite horrible D zone coverage on the 2-0 goal, Scott Hannan shouldn't snipe a goal on anybody.

It really is quite shocking that the Leafs PP can't seem to get better.

I don't know. Until there's a serious improvement talent wise it's pretty easy to figure that the same bunch is going to have the same struggles.

See I can't necessarily agree with this.  I think the talent is good enough.  I don't even think the execution is that bad, but the breakout structure is awful and their insistence to play from the half boards is concerning.

It does happen. The Leafs had some bad luck but they have two periods to make that up, Go Leafs Go! ( If hockey jeebus doesn't love Reimer than I'm going to have to visit my shaman and get my spirit in some kind of order... )

A bit rich on his part to really drive home the point on Asham taking a lot of guts to apologize after he just apologized. 'its takes a lot of guts to apologize like that...on tv when you have 2 million people watching, it sure takes a lot of guts'  Sounds like he's just stoking his ego.

I noticed that too...it really did feel kinda self-serving

What did Don say that got him in trouble?

He said that a group of enforcers had said that fighting was the reason they'd struggled with drugs and depression post-hockey and called them, if I recall, pukes and hypocrites for saying they wanted fighting out of the game.

Of course, Don being Don, two of the three players hadn't said anything of the sort. Not that the factual accuracy of it was the worst part.

Don Cherry? Self serving? What sort of topsy-turvy world have I stumbled into?
