I`ll take it though.

It's arguable, but that last replay it looked like Gus was tripped as the puck went in.

That's a pretty textbook no goal and no penalty situation. Kesler quite clearly interfered with Gustavsson's ability to make the save there. His skate was locked in right where Gustavsson's was well before the shot was fired.

Not so, when you watch the overhead replay, Kesler hit Gus's foot, knocking his off-balance slightly before Kesler got knocked into him. Good call by official.

He doesn't have to touch the goalie.  The rule is that he only has to prevent the goalie from moving to make save in the crease.  How do announcers not know the rules?

Dear hockey announcers,

If someone playing at the ACC is playing in their "hometown" then they should be from Toronto. Not Whitby or Ajax or Markham or Peterborough.

Sincerely,

Nik

I'm enjoying this game.  Fast paced, clean play, the refs aren't ruining the flow.

Also, it's time for Gustavsson to get a regular start rather than once every 2 weeks.

Why don't McArthur shoot himself there, he was alone with the goalie, and yet passes the puck, with the risk of losing it...and the other guy didn't have a better chance really

I don't know if you can criticize a guy for a play where his decision results in a pretty great scoring chance.

Or he could have faked a shot to freeze Roberto. I was thinking the same thing.

This team seems pretty prone to these passes, but it's actually worked out much more often than I expect it to.  Just.. not this time.
