Game 43: Leafs @ Capitals - Apr. 16, 7:00pm - TSN, TSN 1050

:( I know we were all happy to see them win ugly last night but they gotta stop trying to do it every night.  Come on Leafs move your feet and for god's sake receive a pass!!!

That was an atrocious period.  Time for Randy to peel some paint off the walls.

Paint should have already been peeled off the walls couple weeks back the way the team has played but guess it didn't sink in. I know we have been on a good streak but we are getting outplayed in most games. I know a lot are going to say we have been winning quit bitching but let's be honest if we play like this in the playoffs it might be an early exit.

I kind of wish that they had a day or two to sit on that amazing win by Reimer, but such is life. I hope they shake off this kind of play soon, because obviously it will get them nowhere in the playoffs.

Lupul needs to score one.

Edit: You know what, maybe an ugly loss here where a win would have guaranteed a spot may be a blessing in disguise. This kind of luck rarely shows it's head in the playoffs and better they see the consequences of lazy play now and correct it in time. Hopefully.

I know Subban has had a good year but last time I looked he had 32 points or so and 21 or so coming on the PP and that has him in the Norris race.

Only four hits from the Leafs that period. Need to pick up the intensity.

They had like 40+ hits yesterday and I wouldn't call that a very intense game from the Leafs.  I don't think hitting is the issue.

Did I just see someone on TSN pick Price in Vezina talks?

Are they just trolling now?

Jesus.

It's the continued assumption that Montreal sucked last year.  Price is pretty good, and therefore the only reason they are any good is because of Price.
Let's ignore that they are 4th in the league in goals.  Or that they are 4th in PP%.    Or hold teams to the 5th fewest shots against (which is impressive given how open a style of play they have).

Or that Price has a .908 SV%.

The Leafs need this. They need to get spanked to realize that you can't just play defence for 60 minutes and expect to win.

Seeing as the Leafs only played about 6 minutes last night, you would think they would bother to show up.  Good thing Carlyle sent a message by taking out that bum Matt Frattin.

Yeah. Even before the suckage in his last couple starts, Price has been pretty ordinary as far as starting goalies go. Nowhere close to being Vezina worthy. He's probably the #3 starter in this division this season - #4 if you give Anderson's injury plagued season a nod.

And MacArthur.  Not like we need some players who can play offensively.
