Connolly is completely and utterly useless.  Lets his guy go right off the offensive faceoff, turning what was a faceoff win to an opposing rush.  He's a passenger, through and through.

He makes Jason Allison looking like impact player

I doubt Burke would do it, but he is a prime candidate to be parked in the minors.

That's absolutely untrue and supposedly it would be up to Carlyle.

Gardiner making some rookie mistakes out there tonight. Overall good defensive game though, the game's a real tug o' war.

Gus saving their asses out there what a terrible giveaway

I don't think either team is outplaying the other actually. Gus' been good but hardly "saving their asses."

He gets lucky a lot, because some of his near mistakes could have been costly. He's the luckiest rookie I've seen, in Toronto anyway.

Pretty sure he bailed out Komi's awful giveaway with that pokecheck and then a decent save.

Bryzgalov is playing well also.  Agree neither team is getting amazing chances.  Both of Gus' pokechecks were good but mostly possible because the shooters didn't do something soon enough, especially the first one.

Lombardi with 4:57 toi so far ( as of a few seconds ago in the box score ) half a minute less than Rosehill...

Crabb with 9:10...

I'll take lucky as long as it lasts till his knowlwdge and experience start to catch up to his potential. For a big guy he sure can move pretty well. And his passing when it is on is really on. At least from what I've seen of him.

Ashton used his body exceptionally well in the offensive zone.

Exactly what I was thinking. He's great at shielding the puck. He looks like a bigger version of Frattin to me.
