I don't understand the continued use of Kostka on the PP.  He hasn't really shown any NHL-level offensive instincts to me.  I think Franson would make more sense.

I don't understand the notion that your regular lines need to stay together on the PP.

Play Grabovski-Kadri-Kessel etc. on the PP together.

i know i'll say this and the guy will go on to get a hattrick..but really what is wrong with ovechkin?  like how has he gone from being one of the best of the league to being ho-hum ..

He plays a highly abrasive game. Maybe all that physicality and hitting is catching up on him

dat's more like it!!!

I'm not overly thrilled with Van Riemsdyk's play overall, but he's got 4 goals in 7 games now for the team.  We've seen him play better hockey than this for Philadelphia and he definitely has a high level of skill so that's pretty encouraging.

Since I like Schenn I hope that ends up being a mutually beneficial trade where both players go on to great careers with their new team.

Kessel's offensive skill is so much better than anyone else on our team.

Good job JVR there to do what he should - stand in front.

Agreed. I liked Schenn and think he's going to be a very good defenseman, but i'm so happy we've got JvR. Hopefully Kulemin's paying attention.

That's a pretty weak penalty.  And given the Leafs suck at 5 on 3s it's not great because eventually these penalties are going to even out.
