Well, if Reimer is out for more than this game, it's make-or-break time for Gus as a Leaf.  He's got to show he can bring more than, say, Mikael Tellqvist.

He's already had better games than Telly, his ears might not be entirely tuned but then good goalies are freaks, hard to say. I haven't written him off.

Me neither.

I mean this in the nicest possible way... but Kadri is a bad hockey player. He really doesn't know what to do in almost any situation.

His passes to no one display a worrying lack of awareness

He's also made some great passes (see Steckel's goal against Boston) that display quite a bit of creativity and awareness.

I can't stand pk subban.  I hope I'm not alone.
I hate that someone with his up side is not a Leaf. And yes, he is an a$$ and I wish someone would lay a beating on.

He is not the next lindstrom.  He is an average top 4 guy that does douche things.

Yeah. My guess is his perceived lack of awareness is more a result of his trying too hard to be creative too frequently. He just needs to simplify his game a little and stop trying to force things into happening.

WEAK! I didn't see a trip at all, just a dive.

Agreed. Last 2 penalties against us were both weak after a couple of blatant non-calls that should have given us the man advantage. But we had 4 PP's in a row. And the game is in Montreal.

That right there is why I don't think he'll actually reach the high end of his upside. Eventually, he'll get on the wrong side of the wrong player and . . . well, it won't be pretty.

My take too.  I hope he stays up and gets some good minutes.  He'll start to produce.

As for another youngster, Gardiner is having a good game despite that last trip.

I hate the guy, but a rookie year of 38 points with 14 goals isn't exactly "average top 4".

His ego will liekly get in the way of his development.

I'll go out on a limb and say down the line, he and Gardiner will be equals.
