Who's the "older $5.5M centre with recent injury issues who has recently been a ~35 point guy get moved to a team that hopes his production will rebound, despite the fact that the last time he played a full season his team's top line, he only put up 36 points - and that was 4 seasons ago"?

Shawn Horcoff.

Yeah but he has character.

Miley Cyrus? I simply can not immagine MacLaren and Orr or even Phaneuf for that matter to get pumped by Miley.... Btw., it is great thing to have these kind of issues. The team has a very good chemistry. Not just bunch of professionals doing their job, but they really seem to be buddies. Kessel?s not touching the puck against the Wild giving Raymond that empy netter is another prime example.

Does he have gusto, too? I mean, if we're going to list of things that don't justify his cap hit or actually help teams win hockey games, then why just stop at character.

Everything else aside, Bozak is pretty funny. He apparently only joined Twitter in an effort to meet Taylor Swift.

Something tells me the Miley song is as much a troll on half his teammates as it is a song he actually enjoys.

Right but it's what they play after a victory, right? So they don't use it to "get pumped" so much as they do to gear up for whatever players do after a game which I imagine amounts to a glass of warm milk and an early night's turn-in. I mean, when the Flyers were on 24/7 they used Mac Miller's "Knock Knock" in a similar fashion and that's not exactly Motorhead.

Hmm.. Bozak trying to top the Flyers on 24/7 perhaps? He's definitely playing that song to get a rise out of people.  ;D

After last night am concerned about the trend of the leafs. Over the past few games they have been badly out shot. The question is while they are 7 and 4 how many of the games they won was more because the other team lost. My concern is Carlyes (sic) defence first is over played. The leafs have a defense that has some offensive skill. Use it more offensively. When Raymond, Kadri and Lupal shows some great chemistry, he breaks them up.  Put Clarkson, Bolland and Kulmenin together and you have three great units.  What we really need is some offense to counter being outshot. We have two quailty goalies to back them up and fast scating defense to recover if they are caught out of position. Plus defense is a team responsiblity. I think bottom line is we need more offensive style.

I'll say this right now: if Phaneuf can maintain this level of play all year, the question is not if we make the playoffs, but where we'll be seeded. I haven't seen a single bonehead play from him in quite awhile.

Yeah, he's been the most important player for the Leafs this season IMO.

If they pick Hamhuis over Phaneuf I might throw something.

Reports today that the neg's with Dion are starting at 7 years $50 mil. Not sure if that's the Leafs offer or Dion's side.

If that's Dion's starting point, then it's more than reasonable. It means he likely comes in around where he is now. If it's the Leafs . . . it's not unreasonable, but there shouldn't be much wiggle room.
