What evidence is there of that? Kessel has shown he can score with pretty much anyone, so where does that come from?
Watching them play together. It wasn't a long term thing, but you could tell that they weren't in lock-step. Grabo was always going off-side, or Kessel was way ahead of him causing an off-side.
This is just what I saw from the small amount of time they played together.
They hardly ever got a chance to play together. It's likely too small of a sample to make any long-term projections, but it's enough to say that it couldn't be a case of not clicking. They got chances together when on the ice.
