Hurricanes @ Leafs - Oct. 17th, 7:00pm - LeafsTV, SN 590

Well, that's exactly why I was pumped the Leafs got Bernier. I never trusted Reimer to play a full year without some injury popping up.

You know, it's not that he's been bad necessarily(although he hasn't been great), but I can't help but feel as though Ranger is just the odd man out right now. I have no doubt that he has the capacity to improve as the season goes on but whenever I see him on the ice I can't help but think that between Franson and Reilly and Gardiner that if you had just a rock solid stay-at-home type to add to that bunch that it could be a really special group a year or two down the line.

I don't get why they have Phaneuf on his off wing normally but on the PP on his strong side with Franson. Neither of them can get a one-time off that way.

Say what you will about Bozak, he does seem to generate his share of shorthanded chances.

For this reason, you can't rely on reimer. That wasn't a hard hit.

So his head is just naturally concussable?

It appears to be as susceptible to a brain injury as a politicians...although granted it appears it happens to a politician without any contact.

I know that Reimer had "concussion like symptoms" before but I had no idea he was so fragile now. Ya that was a hit but, he didn't even hesitate to leave the game. I am not saying he's soft, but his noggin sure is.

So it's definitely either Soft Skull Syndrome or the head just being naturally delicate.

No Nik, I think some heads must be softer than others.
