Idiocracy

Yesterday Tony DeAngelo wrote that he wouldn't tweet again until the vote results are in and in that time has retweeted Trump twice and retweeted a number of alleged voting issues at least one of which has already been debunked to have been false (edit: all of them have now proven to be false/misleading, to the surprise of absolutely no one).

It's a shame there might be an all-Canadian division next season because I would have loved to see Blake Wheeler fill in him and his MAGA bros like Lemieux, Werenski, and Jones.

Domi's down there too: CBJ and NYR are real hotspots.

I don't know about Domi. People bring up he wore Trump socks as the main evidence (along with some other Canadian conservative views I guess) but McDavid dressing up at Trump for Halloween didn't lead to everyone assuming he was a Trump supporter. So it's not something I like to say unless I'm 100% certain, like I am with the guys I mentioned due to their social media activity. Someone follows Trump+his people and has their likes section flooded with his crap, you know who that person's voting for. Domi doesn't hit those marks. There's only a single politician among his follows from what I can tell and it's John McCain. So I'm sure he leans right politically, which is fine, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as far as being a maga guy goes.

Cult of personality knows no bounds. I think I'm going to read "It can't happen here" as soon as I finish brushing up on some old school political philosophy. It's amazing how much people get wrong about the social contract.

If anyone is curious, Seth's brother Caleb is another pretty obvious maga guy. Jack Eichel too.

Brent Burns doesn't have much evidence in his likes section but his list of followers is the most extreme, basically every single big Trump/maga account there is: Trump, Don Jr, Eric, Ivanka, McConnell, Shapiro, Pence, Hannity, Carlson, other various Fox accounts, D' Souza, Tomi Lahren, too many NRA accounts to name including Dana Loesch's, Kellyanne Conway, Melania, Ben Carson, Kayleigh McEnany, Geraldo Rivera, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Stacy Dash, Diamond and Silk, Andy Ngo, Candace Owens, James Woods, Terrence Williams. If you don't know who some/most of those people are bless you.

Gonna be a lot of dumb tweets tonight, but this one is an early favourite.

It?s still early, but seeing Biden up by a reasonable margin in Ohio gives me some hope.

I hope you're right, but whenever I refresh the map, the lead looks smaller and smaller. Texas and Florida turned red around the 70% mark.

I'm starting to think that my worldview isn't all that representative.

People are the worst, but I have hope there are enough sane and moral people out there who can see the damage Trump is doing, and who are going to do everything they can to defend democracy.

What of the 100 million early votes? I?m assuming the vast majority of those have not been counted yet.

In most states the early votes get counted first. It's why Biden was ahead in a lot of states but the lead withered away while the later votes were counted.

There are some exceptions like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin but the plugged in people I'm reading don't think the signs are good there.

I honestly don?t know what the hell the Democrats did.  How do you lose to a guy who has been this incompetent?

They aren?t just losing the Presidency.  They are losing pretty much every big Senate race too.  It?s a good thing they threw Al Franken under the bus for two years of Doug Collins.
