It's not grabbing the most sensational headlines but the biggest deal I think is the possibility that Trump may try and have Mueller fired.

At this point I'd be more surprised if that didn't happen.

Is this better or worse than the teacher that accidentally shot a handful of his students when he brought in a loaded handgun to teach them gun safety?

Edit: A+ to the turtle article for the Napoleon Dynamite shoutout.

Speakibg of Cambridge Analytica,  Canadian whistleblower has more than inside knowledge...

http://nationalpost.com/news/canada/cambridge-analytica-whistle-blower-lost-job-with-michael-ignatieff-over-data-harvesting-in-2009-liberal-source

Reports by The New York Times and The Observer of London say U.S. President Donald Trump?s 2016 campaign hired Cambridge Analytica to collect private information from the Facebook profiles of more than 50 million users.

The reports say the firm exploited private social media activity to help allow the Trump campaign to better target voters by profiling their behaviour and personalities ahead of the U.S. election.

Outside knowledge?

Ah, perhaps I hadn't phrased it properly.  What I meant by that is him having been associated with Ignatieff's office (upon which he was fired when he proposed similar strategies of data collecting back then).

John Oliver, on Ellen, talking about the book he had made to parody Mike Pence's book about their family pet, Marlon Bundo.

Oliver's book is now Amazon's #1 bestseller as of this show's taping.

The serial bomber that had been terrorizing Austin all month is a) a 24 yr old white male who committed suicide rather than be caught/questioned; b) is definitely not going to be labeled as terrorism according to this administration.

Isn't terrorism generally defined as having links to some political/religious group's agenda?

I think what's being suggested is that he was working alone without a specific purpose to his terror making.

Terrorism doesn't have to have links to any specific group, it just has to be motivated by a particular ideology. In this case, racism, as they targeted African Americans in their community. He may have been working alone, but his purpose was to terrorize people of colour, most likely in an aim to drive them out of the neighbourhoods he didn't feel they belonged.

What busta said. Even without a stated ideology or motivation, his targets have a clear pattern that seems to be underreported.

This administration has a pretty specific interpretation of that qualifies as terrorism, even though the Patriot Act seems to give a lot to latitude invoke additional authority.

Has anyone released what his suicide message said?  That might show whether he meets the terrorist definition. If he doesn't maybe the definition is the problem.

There's no doubt in my mind that he'll fire Mueller.  Will probably wait as long as he can though.
