Carlyle says Lupul is day to day and won't call the injury concussion.

Called the stalling last night.

It's just a matter of time before we hear about his 'concussion-like symptoms' which are not a concussion.

Carlyle said he went for an evaluation this morning, didn't sound like he had the results.

Do you want him to call it a concussion before he knows its a concussion?

Pff who needs evaluation, or a medical license, to diagnose a concussion?

I did a pretty good job on Kevin Ware.

Not if you diagnosed a concussion.

When the team is being cryptic about it, I don't think you need to be a doctor to know what's what. If he was fine, they'd just say he's fine.

Maybe it's just a "moderate" concussion like Bergeron's?

I'm sure he's done for a couple of weeks at least.

I'm sure there are a lot of potential injuries that could have occurred off of that hit.  But regardless, it doesn't make sense for Carlyle to call it something when he doesn't know if it is or isn't that.

As someone who is pretty darn close to having one, it's not that hard to diagnose...

Where the difficulty lies in assessing how long of a recovery he has in store.

But Carlyle doesn't have one (although the line combinations do call that into question).  That would be like me saying you have a concussion just by looking at you.  I'm sure you could do it and be right sometimes, but I would be going for the doctor's opinion if it were me.

EDIT: If you meant medical license then ignore the above completely.

:'(  Darn it.  This guy just has the worst luck when it comes to staying healthy.  Well, I hope he gets better soon.  No point taking chances with this kinda stuff.

My daughter had a whiplash injury last year and had concussion like symptons.  Very mild grade but she wasn't allowed to do anything for 2 weeks.

Well, if we couldn't officially say it before, I think we can now - Lupul is a complete band-aid.

Unfortunate, because he's clearly an excellent player, maybe even a legitimate star, but how can anyone ever be confident in his continued health going forward?

At least he makes crazier comebacks than Hulk Hogan. That part is fun.

Joffrey Lupul-

Thanks for the support everyone. I ALWAYS come back stronger!

And a day or two before he plays again he will say "this is the best I have ever felt". Standard pro athlete speak.
