Over a 19-day span (Mar. 7-25), the Leafs face Boston three times and Pittsburgh twice. That stretch just may be it to show whether the Leafs are a legitimate playoff team or it leads to another of those nasty tailspins the team can't recover from. We'd like to think this team is different under Carlyle to avoid the latter and show the former, but it's tough not to be skeptical based on recent years.
From now until then, the Leafs have 7 games (BUF, OTTx2, PHI, MON, NYI, NJ), in which I would say at least 4 wins, if not 5, isn't an unrealistic expectation. Hopefully they can make some hay and stash away those points as to give them a buffer heading into that tougher stretch.

First post-Ruff game, let's see how the Sabres respond. Might not be easy anymore.

7 road gms in that 10 too, normally with most teams and especially the Leafs the fact that we are assured of at least a 6-4 record at worst and 8-2 at best is really quite remarkable.
