Leafs 2016/2017 Schedule in 10 game chunks

That one sucked.  Hopefully they win for my birthday.

So what we can pick up is that the Leafs are great at home, but struggle on the road.

Well, the positive spin is the Leafs already have more points in the first chunk of the season than last year where they managed only 4 points in the first 10 games.  So there's hope...right?

I would say there is plenty of hope. They need to make a few defensive adjustments and Andersen is looking like he's  starting to round into form. The rookies are playing better than I expected this early in the season. I'm seriously going to have to adjust my forecast for this season.

That Matthews/Nylander combo seems to be working well too. Can't believe Auston has 8 points in 5 games, I didn't think he'd produce so quickly. I remember last season it took McDavid a good 8-9 games before he really got going.

Would be nice to hand the Habs their first regular season loss.  As much as Habs fans say it wouldn't matter and the Habs are off to a fantastic start, they'll really hate it if the first loss of the season is against us.

The official stats are in yet, but the early takeaway from this is that when Marner and Andersen are the MotM and HM, the Leafs win.  When they aren't the Leafs sometimes pick up a point.

Like I said in the GDT, when Nylander and Matthews get 0s on the board, we win. When they score, everyone is too busy watching what they'll do so no one bothers with defense and we lose.

What if we as a board all agree to always put Marner and Andersen as MotM and HM for the remaining games of the next 5 years?

Get the picture?  ;)

That would be something Habs fans will remember.  They'll have every reason to dislike us more.  Of course, a Leafs -Canadiens tilt is great to watch per se, but the pot would sweetened for us somewhat with a win, and bittersweet for them with their first loss olf the season.

I would say...trick or treat?  :)

I have a bad feeling that McDavid will go nuts in his first ever game against the Leafs in Toronto.

You mean he'll have an emotional breakdown after realizing how close he came to playing for his boyhood team and take his skate off and throw it at Milan Lucic?
