Well we'll have to wait and see what the full deal ends up looking like. Minten as the primary piece for THREE playoff runs for Carlo didn't really feel like nearly enough. Minten plus a 1st is certainly tough to swallow, but man that's still an incredible top-4 d-core to lock in for a few years. Hopefully there's some retention to soften the blow.

If Carlo comes with significant retention, and only really cost Minten and a 1st, that’s a masterpiece.

It's nice not to need to add 2-3 D every playoff for the next few years. I appreciate the D Trev has built.

With all the money spent up front, the offense better not be our downfall this playoffs. Solid D and strong G in place.

A defence that for years was lacking quality right-handed D and toughness, Treliving has done an excellent job in the last 9 months rectifying that with the Tanev signing and Carlo trade.

Yup by a mile and can join the rush better then most D men in the league. Having Carlo back there will give him more freedom to go.

I am hopeful he comes off the LTIR in the playoffs and sort of think the signing was LTIR circumvention plan the entire time. If he plays it's a bonus, if he doesn't we got the cap space. Why not have a bunch LTIR guys in your back pocket if you can swing it?
