Grabovski with 3 points now.

He thinks he's playing the Habs?

Pretty sure he's pretending to play against the Leafs nowadays.

Weird what giving him some offensive minutes does.

I'd rather have some guys on the team who are good at punching faces. Who needs a guy that can play defence and score? Pff.

I still think it was a mistake with what happened to Grabovski. Buyout probably should have been used on Liles. I know, I know, cap situation...

Oates is up to no good though. He's playing Grabovski on the wing on the powerplay. I'm pretty sure that's now allowed. Hopefully the NHL looks into it.

Totally cheating. Using a player in something other than their strictly defined, ill-fitting role? Absolutely against the rules.

Man, that was a pretty thrilling opening to the season.  3 go-ahead goals, 5 fights, 98 minutes of penalties, a short-handed goal, and a guy taken off the ice in a stretcher.  That's hockey right there.

Washington lost. Justice.

Don't be silly.  He could have produced like that for RC but he didn't try hard enough.  Good riddance.

Not sure if serious.... :-\

Carlyle still throwing Kessel out in the last minute of a one goal game. For the life of me still can't figure out what goes through these coaches heads. Protect the lead we don't need to score.

He had a key takeaway in the Leafs end.

Surprisingly, Kessel isn't a one-dimensional player.

big opening night win...

witch about grabovski..

i hate leaf fans

People aren't allowed to be upset about losing a good player?

Grabovski receives a divisive buyout which is much debated over the summer, the Leafs game is over, he is still playing and scoring 3 goals and adding 1 assist, and it's bad that it's being mentioned?  I'd be shocked if it wasn't.

Sadly I couldn't watch this game. Watched the highlights wow what a sweet goal by Phaneuf.
A lot of credit on that one should go to Kulemin, too.  He cleared the way for the shot.

Probably more of a damned if you do damned if you don't.

The fact we've been listening to it for three months is probably why people are sick of hearing about Grabovski. I don't give a crap one way or another. The Leafs won. That's sweet enough in my books.

Reimer was a beast. Single-handedly won this one, despite Franson's attempt to pass directly to every single Canadien player.

Kind of a tough game to watch, even though there was scoring and tons of fights. Weird flow to the game, not to mention the awful commentators. I think Healy has gone beyond self-parody and dipped into senility.

Franson? Really were we watching the same game? He was the steadiest of the D

Yep we were and he couldn't make a pass to save his life.  Even when he wasn't pressured he was still coughing it up, right onto the sticks of Montreal players or pasing into a teammate's skates. He is an awful, awful passer.
