But then is the idea that goalies just aren't allowed to be touched? Would you whistle that play dead if the puck doesn't go in?

I think in order for a goal to be called off something serious enough to at least warrant a stoppage in play should have occurred. Otherwise it makes it seem like the goal was called on the basis of rulebook ephemera.

I think the line should be one of intent. If it's clear you know you're going to come into contact with the goalie but don't do anything to get out of the way, it's no goal. If you've made a point of doing more than just skating into the goalie, it's a penalty.

I complained about Spaling, but seeing Jay Beagle out there with the weapons that Washington has is bizarre x 100.

There's no denying that 3 on 3 leads to some exciting stuff but it is to hockey what NBA Jam is to Basketball.

Reimer has conceded 8 goals on 125 shots over his last 4 GP (.936 SV%)

Sure one or more of them might have had an odor, but overall it's a big improvement and he's continued to make a lot of "clutch" type saves too, I'd run with him till he cools off.

EDIT: Wanted to add that, that number is almost identical to his 5on5 Sv%, which is 13th amongst goalies league wide that have played at least 5 games.

Pretty remarkable given the start he had.
