Leafs @ Capitals - Oct. 13th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

I don't think either of the top-2 lines have been very impressive tonight, but Matthews' still has a pair of goals and we (finally) got some secondary scoring.

What a great few minutes at both ends there. Absorbing to watch. Great stuff from Andersen then the immediate momentum shift and goal.

That was fun.

Leafs win a game tonight they would?ve lost last season. And they?re still down a huge offensive weapon.

Great answer from Matthews

"Have you ever been on a run like this where the Puck seemed to be following you around the ice?"

"Yeah I have."

"Have you ever been in a stretch like this where the puck is just following you?"

Every boring player: No, this has been something special

Auston freaking Matthews: F Yeah

I agree. We got pushed around tonight. But our talent (especially in goal) won it for us in the third.

Exactly.

When was the last time they swept a 4-game road trip?  I can't remember it happening.

Andersen sure saved the day there toward the end but puck possession was the difference.  Before that flurry on the extended Caps shift I think they had had only 3 shots.
