Gardiner!

And for all the criticism of Phil Kessel.  He took some physical contact to keep that play going.

He did indeed, and deserves credit.  Was also good that whole shift.

Kessel - 12 points in his last 6 games.  It also moves him back into the Top 10 in league scoring (T-7th) and he is T-8th in goalscoring.

Does anyone have a note of the team's record with and without Clarkson?

Without him the side seems more fluent or something

With Clarkson: 16-15-5  (9 regulation wins)
Without Clarkson: 9-5-0  (8 regulation wins)

The addition of the regulation wins changes it to slightly more interesting

Yeah, the 7 shootout wins (Clarkson 0/2 in shootout attempts) do kind of make it interesting.  If we consider shootouts as ties rather than wins/losses the records would be:

With Clarkson - 9-15-12 - 68 point pace
W/out Clarkson - 8-5-1  - 100 point pace

50 points in 51 games right now for Kessel, unless he gets some more tonight.

On course to be the fist Leaf in top 10 nhl scorers three years running since Sittler according to that last graphic
