Leafs @ Coyotes - Jan. 20th, 8:00pm - LeafsTV, SN 590

A prophetic tweet...

@mirtle: #cuprun RT @randynumbers: Last time the Leafs followed a 4 (or more) game losing streak with a 5-game winning streak was in 1967.

mirtle: Leafs win fifth straight game for the first time in nearly seven years. Unreal.

Wow.  We certainly have been crap for a long time.

I think I heard that's the first time they've lost 4 then won 5 since 1967, ole!

Edit, Arn had the hammer

SHE IS THE CHOSEN ONE!

Phaneuf and Frantzen on PP1.... wtf is up with the Budweiser ploough team on this line? I dont get it.... cant hit the net and both like molasses on skates... maybe Im missing something... help me understand....please!

Damien, I just got back from the game and I couldnt agree more, Phanuef stunk out the joint, two stupid penalties and was beaten badly by a far better skater on one play. Franson was a bonehead all night. I would rather play Rielly (whom is a really poised rookie) and Gardiner whom cover all gaffes with electric plays, a lot more minutes.  Phanuef needs a steady partner and Franson needs to be traded.  A lot of Yotes fans were in awe of Bernier, it makes one wonder why he was overlooked for the Olympic squad while Smith was ordinary tonight.  Boy would I like Yandle on our squad or Doan who laid a very mean hit on the Pylon at one point.  I can honestly say if Doan was on our squad and with Bolland coming back we would have a chance to win the cup. Doan is massive with his play.  Kadri brought a  lot of energy and was one of our best forwards dispite his gaffe. His goal was really the capper and emptied the rink.

Great game.  Good to see Gunnarson score his first goal in nearly a year.
Also, Gardiner stepping up as well as Ashton contributing.

Kessel keeps his point streak alive at 6 games now, while Kadri continues to shine.

Kudos to the team!

GO LEAFS GO!!!

I agree with the bad play of Phenuef, and Franson. Deon has not played very well, he seems to have lost a step, cant hit the net, and cant hole the blue line. did the money go to his head or what?

Doan is recovering from a bad tick bite a couple months ago.  Doubt he gets back to form this season.  But to be fair he has not really taken over games for a couple seasons now.  No idea why the Coyotes signed Ribiero???  He is the laziest Canadian player in the league.  Mike Smith played well last night compared to the rest of this season. One ref was waving the other off on the incorrect Phaneuf penalty.  Guess he got over-ruled.
