Leafs are leading this game with an average back-up goalie in net. Leading handily with Andersen in net.

My question is why hasn't it been addressed?
Telling me Dubas can't find anything better?
Not totally Hutchinson's fault but he isn't good enough and these points that have been squandered and more to come possibly is killing this team's chances of making the playoffs.

What goaltender do you think is available, could be traded for at a reasonable cost, fits within our cap structure, and is on a team that is in need of something we have? EDIT: and would be an appreciable upgrade over Hutch.

Got to be someone. Maybe talk to Minnesota about Stalock. They had one of their young goalies up earlier this year with Dubnyk hurt maybe they might let Stalock go as the young Finn goalie looked ok. Sure there may be others or maybe someone in the minors. Can't be any worse. Leafs suck defensively but Hutchinson looks awful.

That's a pretty big trail across the ice there. He'll be ok. These training staffs are top notch. Hope he isn't out for long.

He's been playing well to. Good find.
Said it early in the year he was one of our best forwards and definitely think should have been up on the top 2 lines.

The Athletic took a look at the possible trade bait at the beginning of the month

Alex Stalock, Minnesota

I?ve seen a few suggestions of Stalock as an option, so I figured he was worth mentioning here. At first glace, he might make sense, especially if the Wild fall way out of the playoff race.

The problem I see is he has some history with the Leafs organization, and it?s not very good. He was briefly a member of the Marlies when Dubas was the GM there, but they had a mutual parting of the ways when he made it clear he didn?t want to play for the AHL club that year. My understanding is he didn?t make a great impression on teammates and staff in Toronto.

There really weren't any options that would be an improvement, and to be fair Hutch hasn't been as horrible as some seem to think. He's been hung out by the team A LOT. He's pretty decent generally on making the 1st save. His rebound control is meh, and his puck handling is weak, but that's what you get for league minimum.

Souperman off to hospital. More then just a cut me thinks.

L K can tell us here but I would think even a relatively superficial cut to the wrist would warrant a trip to the ER.
