Only tangentially related, I'm trying to remember which 80s Blue Jay mentioned that he used to... uh... water the grass in the outfield under the cover of his glove mid-game. Was it George Bell?
Bosetti claimed that he wet the grass without a hose only in pre-game warm-ups when there were no fans in the park. But it was an open secret around the league that he did it during games while pitching changes were being made. He wanted to prove that he could take a leak before thousands of fans and not be noticed. He accomplished this feat by turning to the outfield wall and putting his glove in front of his waist.

He was more composed for large stretches of the game but that goal he gave up and the 3 or 4 blocks that the Leafs bailed him out on could have made this game another ugly one. He's still going to have to do a lot more to convince me that he's an NHL goaltender. At the end of the day though, the Leafs are 3-1 when he has played so far so they are getting points in his games. Andersen is the guy who plays in the postseason so if they can still eek out wins with Sparks at a good pace it's not going to be a huge issue.
His rebound control at times was bad as was his too deep in the net and overplaying stuff. And yes he should have had that goal but it was a helluva lot better then his previous outing. I don't think anyone is sold on him yet but let's hope he keeps progressing. Last night was a good step in the right direction. While none of his outings has been overly impressive, he's still 3-1 so having a backup win 75% of his starts is a good thing and yes I'm grabbing all the positives I can.L K said:Nice to get the win but Sparks to me was shaky again. Usually the team loses on that night and I fully expected Leafs to lose last night. The fact they managed to pull it out is a testament to their talent, all this without Matthews or Nylander. I guess some fans forget the last 12 or 13 years if they're complaining about the game last night lol
