Columbus also lost, so everyone's still at 80.

Who cares?  Honestly, if there's even a snowball's chance that Carlyle isn't fired because they make the playoffs somehow, I want no part of it.

I'm sure once they lose the next two games they will win out just to make sure they get a terrible draft pick.

Completely speaking from a position of frustration but it's amazing how a team that looked so promising with the Boston series has become the complete antithesis of what made them endearing.  They don't hit anymore.  They don't use their speed effectively.  They don't battle back.

This team is just absolutely putrid on the ice.  They go down 3-1.  Bolland scores a huge goal right after that and there was no momentum shift with the goal.  This team either just doesn't care or is completely weighed down by something going on in the dressing room.  Regardless, I've had enough.  I hope this team loses every last one of these games in embarrassing fashion.

Tough to criticize him after the year he's had but...Kessel has not been much of a Hart candidate over the streak.

Hasn't that been the recipe since the lockout? Other then last yr, when we drafted kadri, and when we traded picks to Bos that actually turned out to be very high, it feels like we've finished 9th or 10th every yr. I wouldn't be surprised if we lead in 9th/10th place finishes

Not his fault in the least by 9 goals allowed by Bernier in his two games back.  Can't win when you give up 4.5 goals a game.  I blame Reimer.  .884 SV%

I think the Leafs organization really hate us fans so they had to do it every year, winning games at the end of the season, ended up 9th so we suffered.

This team just makes it way to easy on their opponents.  They are not tenacious on the puck in either zone, there is no real threat of an open ice hit, they play like a bunch of pansies.

I think not having these 3 players has been a huge detriment to the team this year:

Komarov
Frattin
Grabovski

All 3 could skate, wanted the puck and were not afraid to engage physically!

But if he had just 1 more goal during it he'd be at a 35 goal pace during the streak. Such are the vagaries of sh%.

I mean, there's also the quality of his play when he's not scoring but sure.

You could throw MacArthur in there too.

Good point, you could say that we lost solid forecheckers on 3 of the 4 lines.  And signing Clarkson didn't address the need to replace it.

MacArthur could be on that list. He had a certain compete level.

I've been frustrated with the coaching as randy has really sucked, and wish he was fired after their mid season slump. Something is off.

But, I'm now very concerned with the personnel of the team. Long term contracts that look bad right from yr 1, soft team. If nonis goes down with Carlyle, I'd be ok with it. Burke built this team, nonis got bernier but deconstructed a lot of positives Burke did.

Yep way too soft. I had a bad feeling as to how this roster was shaping up in the offseason but held out hope that guys like Bolland and Clarkson would replace all that was lost.

Last line says it all. Thank you.
