This team just makes it way to easy on their opponents.  They are not tenacious on the puck in either zone, there is no real threat of an open ice hit, they play like a bunch of pansies.

I think not having these 3 players has been a huge detriment to the team this year:

Komarov
Frattin
Grabovski

All 3 could skate, wanted the puck and were not afraid to engage physically!

MacArthur could be on that list. He had a certain compete level.

MacArthur had 3 points against Chicago tonight.  :'(

I'm sure once they lose the next two games they will win out just to make sure they get a terrible draft pick.

Completely speaking from a position of frustration but it's amazing how a team that looked so promising with the Boston series has become the complete antithesis of what made them endearing.  They don't hit anymore.  They don't use their speed effectively.  They don't battle back.

This team is just absolutely putrid on the ice.  They go down 3-1.  Bolland scores a huge goal right after that and there was no momentum shift with the goal.  This team either just doesn't care or is completely weighed down by something going on in the dressing room.  Regardless, I've had enough.  I hope this team loses every last one of these games in embarrassing fashion.

I think the better question is what to do going forward?  How to improve team defense when realistically you'll likely see 3 players in and 3 players out this offseason.

I'm actually starting to dislike this team.  This is the "play for your lives" point of the season and there is no urgency in their game.

Alot of the core players are the same ones that were part of the collapse of 2012.  Does the team need leadership?

But if he had just 1 more goal during it he'd be at a 35 goal pace during the streak. Such are the vagaries of sh%.

I mean, there's also the quality of his play when he's not scoring but sure.

It does seem like he was backchecking with more enthusiasm awhile back.  And he will never win an award for winning puck battles along the boards.

He still is streaky.

But I guess it was too much to expect that the top line could keep scoring as well as they were before the Olympics.

Not his fault in the least by 9 goals allowed by Bernier in his two games back.  Can't win when you give up 4.5 goals a game.  I blame Reimer.  .884 SV%

I'm willing to cut Bernier some slack because I think he came back earlier than he would have liked.

Roster wise its the same old story it is every year in Toronto - one legitimate scoring line and a blueline that can't play defense to save its life..and right up against the salary cap.

Drives me up the wall how tight we are against the cap, with the roster we have.

Thank you for swooping in with your opinion and this most convenient of times.

You guys are still the undisputed kings of the planet in blowing it. Not even close. Undisputed champs of getting owned by the hockey Gods too - keep chirping.

Trolling a funeral?  Looks like somebody's picking up where Fred Phelps left off.
