Leafs @ Habs - Feb. 28th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Holzer easily the best Leaf tonight, and Polak is my HM so far, consistent effort.  The thing that's impressed me all season about Polak is that he's way more mobile than I expected.

On a more positive note, Marlies win fourth straight and fighting there way towards a playoff spot. Getting there for them is important as it give the Leafs brass a chance to evaluate more in a playoff environment. Getting Brennan back was a good pick up no doubt.

Cue the Arizona teardown.  Supposedly Vermette is about to be traded and there are rumbling that Gagner may be gone too.

So it Vermette goes, does that make it more likely that a guy like Bozak could be moved or less likely?

I think it's clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that a true rebuild of this team can't happen until both Phaneuf and Kessel are gone.

yeah Phil, that was for YOU.

I really think that anyone with term is going to get dealt in the off-season.

I agree with you, but they moved the immovable object, so who knows?

you gotta love how mtl really loves to kick em when their down.  the leafs were dead and buried and montreal didnt let up. you cant roll over in these games no matter how much you are losing you craptard leafs.  i have hated the last five years. cant wait for the blow up. why would any team trade for any of these players that are left though. they have no pride imo

Yeah, but that was a pretty unique situation where with both Clarkson and Horton weren't going to have different situations later on. I really think that if a player has years left on his deal that he's more valuable in the off-season than he is at the deadline. So it's not that I think the Leafs couldn't, if they really wanted to, move someone with years left at the Deadline just that I don't think they will want to.

Fair point and I agree, my point was more that we shouldn't be surprised however Monday shakes out.

Bernier saying the ref told him that he was fair game if the puck was loose and Gallagher was allowed to make contact with him.  That's unbelievably absurd if true.

"Teammanship", Glen? Really? There are about 3 dozen ways to express that sentiment using words that actually exist.

We will never have new words if we only use words that 'exist'.

Yup, if a player wets the bed like this there is always a public response from the league, we will hear nothing more about this.

It's pathetic.

We will when new concepts or things come along. The fundamental concept of language, however, is in having agreed-upon words for the things that already exist.

tsn.ca has a a piece titled "Kessel is unphased"

So even if we have the word, it's often not the right one.

So the actual definition of incidental contact?
