Leafs @ Islanders - Oct. 21st, 7:00pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

Worth keeping in mind when watching the D:

@jonasTSN1050

Leafs shuffle their pairs again to start tonight: Phaneuf-Robidas. Gardiner-Polak. Rielly-Franson. And Percy.

Very little continuity to that defence early. Rielly, for example, has already been paired with Gardiner, Polak, Robidas and Franson.

If Carlyle's not playing the 4th line then we may as well go with 7 D. Lesser of two evils.

Love how they talked about playing the 4th line more in the summer though.

I don't blame Carlyle though.  I blame Nonis.  If I was Carlyle and I saw the writing on the wall that I'm going to get fired if things don't turn around, I would be saying "screw following someone elses rules, I'm going out my way" too.

He's a bad coach.

Wasn't it here that someone scored against Toskala from 200 feet? That was less embarrassing than this current lot.

That was actually awesome, in a masochistic way.

I vote for a pre-emptive firing of Nonis between the 1st and 2nd.  He's risen to the top of my goneness wishing.

Apparently Matt Martin has more hits than anyone else in the history of the world ever
