He was on two way deals for all of his career and didn't spend lots of time in the NHL. He's probably earned much less than, and he is 30.

They only have his contract details going back to the 09/10 season, but, his AHL salary was generally higher than average, and, even just with that, he's earned $1.25M in that time - and that's not factoring in the NHL level pay he's received in his various stints with his various organizations. Factor in the other 6 seasons Capgeek doesn't have the details for, and it wouldn't surprise me if he's taken home ~$2M in his career. Not bad for a minor league journeyman.

No, they don't have details, but we do know what leagues he was playing in. I doubt his was salary even 100k  between 03-04 and 08-09 when he was splitting time between the AHL and ECHL.

Only 2 NHL games in that span, and 5 total in his career before this season. My estimate would be 1.6ish  at most.

Not bad for a 30 year old career minor leaguer and pretty close to what you are saying, but I'm a numbers geek so I wanted to look into it.

Fantasy trade - Gardner for Ryan Nugent Hopkins.

Y on N?

Y, but I don't think Edmonton would be interested in moving him.

Yeah, they'd probably prefer to lose Yakupov, but a young puck moving D has to be a priority for Edmonton in the offseason.

You can't.  I wanted Gardiner in a blockbuster package with Lupul and Leafs 2014 1st for Shea Weber.

I am willing the LH shots on the Leafs defense to be Phaneuf, Gardiner and Andrew MacWilliam.

If the Leafs did a trade with Edmonton then I would like to see if Phaneuf and Leafs 1st round pick (8th) in 2014 could be moved for Edmonton's 1st pick (most likely 3rd) so the Leafs could get Ekblad and skip Weber.

I agree. That kind of trade might work out well for both teams.

yeah, end of Leafs tv?

Not that I'm complaining.  They just proclaimed the guys in the truck the best in the business.  Then they proclaimed the training staff the best in the business.  Then the Panthers scored.  Too bad the damn team lags so far behind the boys in the truck and behind the bench.

No more Leafs TV game broadcasts?

I guess not.. aren't they owned by bell?

LeafsTV is owned by MLSE. I'm not sure how the new Rogers/NHL deal shakes out or if it supersedes the deal they had in place with Bell in terms of Leafs broadcasts, but, Rogers own as much of a stake in LeafsTV as Bell does.

Carlyle = defeated.

everything in his body language is screaming it.

I see it more obviously in the on-ice product. Kessel's checking consists of waving his stick at the opposition from about 5 feet away.
