Leafs @ sens - Mar. 12th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

"Is Soshnikov known for blocking shots and finishing checks?"

I mean he played a 3rd line role for the Marlies all season doing that stuff, so yes.

Good to see Shoshnikov out on the ice again,  he smashed his face into the boards pretty hard last shift. This kid is tough,  I like him.

That Coach's Corner was perhaps the worst since Ponikahosky days. Nurse didn't deserve a penalty and Cutyerfingeroffsky.

They said it like half a dozen times but I have no idea what they were referring to, because they seemed to use it in multiple scenarios.

I'd wager a guess it came out of them mentioning the bench door issue, Don seemed to have an anecdote, sort of, about a guy getting his finger cut bad, etc., while Ron mentioned that was the reasoning against it, probably came out of discussing the topics before hand.

So essentially we're back to the Satellite HotStove format, with Kypreos playing Al Strachan.

I did like the talk about allowing hand passes in the offensive zone. That seems to be a rule that somebody put in a long, long time ago and nobody ever really questioned it. But what's the harm in allowing it?

Folks, FYI I'm going to close out the MotM voting for tonight's game at about 11:30pm this evening.  I'll be gone all day tomorrow and won't be able to deal with it before tomorrow's game.  So if you want to vote please do it soon after the game.

Not that there's much reason to vote so far in this one.

Kadri doesn't seem like he's got a whole lot of variety in his shot.

He's played well this year though, but the offense just hasn't been there. It's going to be pretty interesting as to what the Leafs do in this offseason. If they could get him long term at a 5ish cap hit, it could turn out to be a steal.
